Cybex Total Body Arc Trainer and Lower Body Arc Trainer:

Cybex Arc Trainers Technical Specifications

As soon as you see a Cybex Arc Trainer, you are going to notice how large of a footprint this machine has. That is because the Cybex Arc Trainers use an innovative design to maximize the workout zone for your lower body, and a full stride length. The dimensions of both models are similar but the Cybex 750AT Total Body Arc Trainer measures in as the slightly larger machine.

Both models tip the scales at above 400 lbs as well so the Cybex Arc Trainers are definitely not machines you can just move around the house with ease. One positive aspect of the larger footprint and frame is that the Cybex Arc Trainers have a maximum suggested weight capacity of 400 lbs. This makes the Cybex Arc Trainers friendly for users of all shapes and sizes.

The Cybex Arc Trainers come equipped with an automated resistance system of up to 900 watts, with an impressive total of 101 automated levels of resistance. The flexibility of the automated resistance system is a unique feature for the Cybex Arc Trainers, and really allows users to have a full workout experience.

Cybex Arc Trainer Monitors Compared

For such a high-end line of machines, the monitor is one area where the Cybex Arc Trainers fall short compared to their competition. Both models come equipped with a split-level monitor that provides all of the relevant information and data that users can track. The screen is a 10 x 15 LED monitor, and allows users to monitor their distance, calories burned, strides per minute and other commonly tracked figures. There is also an additional message bar to display any messages or data that may need to be relayed to the user.

The technology for the Cybex Arc Trainer monitors are disappointing to say the least, with no WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity to integrate your smart devices. With no included entertainment screen, for the price you pay on the Cybex Arc Trainer, some users may be wanting more from their high-end machine. The Cybex Arc Trainers do come with IPod connectivity and charging for when you do want to listen to music during your workout.

The monitor does come equipped with some nice convenient features like a magazine rack, a water bottle holder, and a dual speed fan as well. There is no headphone port or additional speakers built into the monitor that comes equipped on the Cybex Arc Trainers either, so you will need to listen to music or watch programs on a separate device, like the Apple IPod.

Cybex Arc Trainer Stride and Incline

For home elliptical machines, the stride length is often overlooked by users but is actually one of the most important features. Well the Cybex Arc Trainers have you covered with an impressive full 24” stride length that allows you to use the machines in three distinct positions: Glide, Stride, and Climb. The Reverse Arc Motion technology in combination with the automated resistance levels and incline, provides users with the ability to fully customize which muscle group they want to focus on.

There are 21 different incline levels is another advantage to having the Cybex Arc Trainers as this provides nearly unlimited variation and challenges in your workouts. Adjusting the incline levels and resistance levels can help target specific areas of your body that you want to strengthen, depending on which position you are using the machine in. The incline is automated, but you do have to press the buttons on the console to increase or decrease your incline levels.

The Cybex Arc Trainers are equipped with some unique technology that takes full advantage of the high levels of incline and resistance. First, the Same Side Forward sees the complete side of your body working in unison. When your right arm moves forward, as does your right foot. This minimizes stress on your joints and maximizes an upper body workout as well. The Cybex Arc Trainers are the only cross-trainers on the market that utilizes this technology.

The handlebars are actually one area that the two models of the Cybex Arc Trainer differ in terms of shape, size, and functionality. The 750AT Full Body Arc Trainers have full motion, dynamic handlebars that are used in the classic elliptical motion, as well as stationary handlebars for stability. On the other hand, the Cybex 750 Lower Body Arc Trainer only comes with stationary handlebars, which is the main difference between the two models, hence the name Lower Body Arc Trainer.

Both models come with contact heart rate sensors located on the handlebars, where users can grip to track their heart rate on the screen. The Cybex Arc Trainers also come compatible with the Polar heart rate armband, which some users may find easier than constantly having to grip the handlebar heart rate sensors.

The Cybex Arc Trainers come equipped with Cybex’s patented Independent Floating Pedal Mechanism, which gives users a comfortable yet stable footing. The pedals themselves come with foot covers that you can slide your shoe into, which makes it so that you can feel safe and secure, even during intense workouts. The Same Side Forward technology ensures that the foot pedals will move in the same direction as the handlebars, which is part of the unique design of the Cybex Arc Trainer machines.

The Cybex 750 Arc Trainers are light on technology, but do come equipped with the standard accessory add-ons that we are used to seeing in the home fitness industry. Standard magazine racks, dual water bottle holders, dual speed fan, and IPod charging and connectivity. The Cybex 750 Arc Trainers do have an optional Digital TV add-on that can be purchased separately, if users want to be entertained as they workout.

Assembly of the Cybex Arc Trainers is nearly non-existent for users as Cybex actually delivers these models fully assembled. This definitely saves the user a lot of time and stress, although one thing to note is that given the larger size of the Cybex Arc Trainers, it is sometimes difficult to get them into your house. You will definitely want at least one or two more people to help move the machine to the desired spot, or pay extra for the delivery service to bring the Cybex Arc Trainer into your home.

We are not going to beat around the bush here, the Cybex Arc Trainers come with a hefty price tag, especially compared to the rest of the home fitness industry. The Cybex 750A Arc Trainer will run you nearly $2,000 and the 750AT Total Body Arc Trainer will run you nearly $5000. Since the Cybex Arc Trainers are actually meant to be for gyms or fitness centers, the larger size and higher price go hand in hand, compared to specific home fitness machines.

Shipping costs and duration will always depend on which site you order the Cybex Arc Trainer from. Since Cybex’s actual website is geared more towards businesses, it does not provide a lot of information about shipping to residences. Considering this, you may be better off ordering it from a site like Amazon, so that you can properly track your order, and receive accurate information before you make your purchase.

The warranty for the Cybex 750 Arc Trainers is top notch and a strong indication that Cybex believes in its products. Both models offer users a 10 year warranty on the frame, 3 years on parts, and 1 year on labor. As far as the industry standard goes, the Cybex warranty is better than the average warranty, and provides users with peace of mind that their fitness investment will be protected.

Why are Cybex 750 Arc Trainers Right For You?

At the end of the day, the performance of your fitness machine is what is most important and this is where Cybex truly excels over its competition. The multi-positional Cybex 750 Arc Trainers provide either a lower body (750A) or upper body (750AT) workout that is fully customizable given the high levels of incline, resistance, and impressive stride length. Innovative technology such as the Same Side Forward and Reverse Arc Motion, show that Cybex is truly thinking of the long-term health and well-being of its users. The main difference between the two models is the dynamic handlebars that provide the full body focus, while the Cybex 750A handlebars remain stationary so users can work their lower body.

There are a couple of things that may have potential buyers wanting more, including the lack of integrated technology, high price tag, and large size. If you can remember that these Cybex 750 Arc Trainers were originally meant for use in gyms and fitness centers, it is easy to realize why they are not geared towards individual home usage. Nonetheless, at this price range and with the current craze in integrated fitness machines, it is surprising that Cybex has not implemented any form of Bluetooth or WiFi connectivity.

With all that being said, the Cybex 750 Arc Trainers provide a unique workout experience that incorporates a multitude of different fitness machines. The appearance of it is daunting at first, but as soon as you step on, you will quickly see how easy it is to navigate the Cybex Arc Trainer. The highly-rated reviews speak for themselves as customer satisfaction is still one of the best forms of advertising that a fitness machine can get. If you want high quality, near endless customization of workouts, and a fitness center level exercise experience, look no further than the Cybex 750 Arc Trainers.

Final Verdict on the Cybex 750 Arc Trainers

With two models in the 750 line of Cybex Arc Trainers, you really cannot go wrong with either. At this point it may come down to your personal budget as neither model is especially cheap. If you are going all in on your personal health and fitness, the Cybex 750AT Total Body Arc Trainer is the way to go and is well worth the higher price tag. For a total body fitness experience that is easy on your joints, and provides a quick yet intense workout in the comfort of your own home, there is nothing like the Cybex 750AT Total Body Arc Trainer.
