An advanced used elliptical that is in touch with the modern-day aspects like an advanced console and plenty of resistance levels. It can hold nearly anybody comfortably and give them a good workout. Verdict

An excellent elliptical for advanced users or those who want to get to a high level of fitness. It provides all sorts of workouts and has a nice console to go along with those workouts. But it is still rather pricey. The warranty is somewhat unimpressive on account of the price. The controls can also take some getting used to.

Verdict

A gym-quality elliptical that works spectacularly at home. It has a prime video console that will deliver every statistic under the sun alongside its 15 preset programs. The warranties are also extremely generous. With that said, it is an extremely heavy machine. Moving it around frequently (or at all after the initial placement) is not recommended.

Verdict

8Expert Score
Verdict

The FlexStrider is one of the most elite ellipticals available. It can provide a super customizable workout experience that is augmented even more by the advanced console that it comes with. Like the EFX 835, it is a heavy machine. Once it is in place, it won’t be moving easily. The price is a bit hefty, even for the used version. The warranty could most certainly be better, considering that price.

8Expert Score
Verdict

The Open Stride system and all of the features that come with the console are the highlights. They make the workouts adjustable while actually going through the motions. The max weight is actually lower than the weight of the machine, which is surprising and somewhat disappointing. The fact that there are only 6 workout problems is also less than ideal. Finally, the console has no fans or speakers available.

It comes with a 1 year warranty on both the parts and the labour. The retail price of the 95x comes in right around $8,000. The used price can fall as low as $2,200.

8Expert Score
Verdict

The number of programs that come with the 95x will provide the user with plenty of variety in their workouts. The user-powered nature of the elliptical is also one of the highlights, as it saves both on power and maintenance. The general build is also extremely durable and noticeably of commercial quality. With that out of the way, the warranty is quite terrible. If anything breaks after one year, then you are out of luck. The fixed 20-inch stride might also be a bit too short for some.

7Expert Score
Verdict

There just isn’t a whole lot wrong with the 546i. It has a nice amount of preprogrammed workout programs and a solid design. The console isn’t anything that will make the mind explode, but it does the job well. Unfortunately, there aren’t any moving handlebars, which means no full-body CrossFit training. A minor complaint might be that there are no fans, but that is only a quibble. As we said, there just isn’t a whole lot wrong with it.

Precor AMT 100i Experience Series AMT Machine

as of May 27, 2023 10:57 am

Another entry from Precor, the AMT 100i designed to be adaptable to any user. Like many other Precor AMT machines, it has 4 different workout programs and 20 different resistance levels. There is a maximum 27 inch stride length. The interesting feature of the AMT 100i is the Stride Dial that allows the user to see the adjustable stride to determine their active muscle groups. The arms can move, allowing for a full-body workout for the user. Another elliptical that is self-powered, it continues to be a boon for these exercise machines. The console does not do much else besides display data and contains the workout programs. Fortunately, it does that job well by displaying plenty of advanced data.

Additional Information:

The max user weight is 350 lbs (159 kg) and weighs 445 lbs (202 kg). Its dimensions are 74 inches (188 cm) long, 28 inches (71 cm) wide and 69 inches (175 cm) tall. There is a 7 year warranty on the frame, a 2 year warranty on the parts and a 1 year warranty on the labour. The retail price of the 100i is $8,600. The used price is $2,200.

7Expert Score
Verdict

The 100i, like the 546i, does the job it is meant to quite well. It gives the data that is helpful to the user and provides the ability to perform a full-body workout. The fact that the elliptical is heavier than the maximum load weight is disappointing. Only 4 workout programs are also somewhat of a letdown.

Customizable workouts, a nice console that gives plenty of pre-programmed workouts, and the unique ArmBlaster feature really sets the Q37 apart from other ellipticals. It provides a decent warranty, though it could be better. The reports from the customer service side are also mixed and less than ideal.
